Blimey! I only just got up, have I missed something?

Noel has walked out of the band yesterday 'cos he's sick of Liam. Have to say I competely disagree with the original post - their newer stuff isn't really up to it, but the first two albums are both brilliant, and they've done a few more great songs since then too. Still, I now look forward to Noel's solo album.

They're not my fave band out there to be honest! I do like them but it's not the end of the mucic world if they split! I agree with the last comment! Their first two albums were a breath of fresh air but they've not really came up with the goods much since give or take a few class tunes on the way! Maybe it's time they took a break from each other and let a lot of the good up and coming bands take centre stage! I think Noel will be a good solo artist and i look forward to hear the stuff he does too:)

I think it's a bit strange to say "good riddance" to Oasis on the FAN forum, 'cos it's for their FANS!!!!

I like both there old and their new stuff, but I guess it had to happen some day, they wouldn't continue to produce good music if they were always bickering, maybe they will produce something new as solo artists?? or form new bands?? I definately would NOT say good riddance', but lets hope there is a positive. I am just glad I got to se them in Wembley this year. I was disappointed at 1st when they did not show at Hylands park, but Snow patrol had the goods and Gary was amazing.

when you pay good money to see a band and they cancel at the last minute you have every right to be angry. how many times have they done this? some people have had enough of them.

I was under the impression that time may have mellowed Noel and maybe he would stop acting like a tosser and begin showing us the talent he thinks he has. After reading the interview in the June 2009 edition of Q magazine I can see he is the same self serving egomaniac that he has always been and this latest debacle only goes to show what a non event he really is. Full of self importance and not really giving a damn about the true fans that have supported Oasis despite the recent release of dismal and uninspired albums. No great loss really to me,I can only name about five hits songs anyway and most of those are blatant Beatle rip offs.

Only time will tell whether Oasis were as great as they and their army of supporters think, or whether they will be judged as something less. I think they've done a handful of great songs (notably She's Electric, Stand By Me, Don't Look Back In Anger, and The Importance Of Being Idle) along with a great deal of rather inferior samey-sounding stuff, particularly in the last few years. And it would help if Liam could vary his vocal style a bit more! Nonetheless, I have a feeling that their best (for which read, mainly early) material will endure.
