(61 views)During my teens, as any music lover will, purchasing the latest single release or searching for your favourite singer/bands album in the record shops, WAS an easy task. Up against the wall you will have the top twenty with a choice of either the single vinyl record, be it 7" or 12" - I have to admit I do prefer the bigger things in life and how more enjoyment came from a 12" - or the single cassette. With the possibility of the album neatly placed behind, if so wish to buy.
Now, we are lucky to see a CD single, let alone able to locate the CD album somewhere in store.
I walked into HMV (and Zivvi) last weekend, it were more like strolling into some warehouse than actually knowing where to look for your initial intentions. I could not even see Madonna anywhere. What is going on?

(62 views)GUY RITCHIE was forced to call security on the set of his new movie SHERLOCK HOLMES when a crazed fan of his estranged wife MADONNAreportedly threatened to stab him to death.
The filmmaker and the Material Girl hitmaker announced plans to divorce last month (Oct08), and Ritchie has become a target for obsessed Madonna fans since.
Police were called to his London pub The Punchbowl on Thursday (30Oct08) night after a man verbally abused the star, and now it's emerged that cops had to arrest a 16-year-old boy, reportedly wielding a knife, on the set of the Sherlock Holmes remake.
According to Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper, the unnamed teenager burst onto the set in Manchester, England, waving a 12-inch (30 centimetre) blade and yelled, "Where's Guy? I'm going to kill him!"
As security guards wrestled the boy to the ground, he allegedly shouted, "I'm Madonna's biggest fan! I'm gonna kill Guy!"
A source tells the publication, "The bloke was screaming about Guy and shouting, 'I love Madonna'. It was terrifying. At first it seemed like a sick joke but it was soon obvious the knifeman was not messing around.
"Luckily there were four security guards and two policemen who were able to overpower him.
"Guy was understandably upset, but carried on as if nothing had happenedTags: Madonna
(165 views)Yesterday, after lunch, I was just sitting down with the paper, reading about Guy and Madonna. I don't know about you but I think it’s mean to dump a girl straight after her birthday. Especially a monumental birthday like a 50th. Sends out a very bad sign. Every decent guy knows you’re not meant to dump a girl during any of the holidays, on her birthday or when she’s on her period. I finished with a lady once at that fragile time of the month - let me tell you, she left me feeling a bit fragile after that encounter. I know what some of you are thinking; ‘but Doug, when is the right time to ditch someone?’ I don’t have all the answers friends; think this one is still up for discussion.

(81 views)The Material Girl has slipped up and her marriage to Guy Ritchie is finally over. Did anyone, fans or critics, ever expect any different? Perhaps not, but she deserves a high-five for trying. Yes, Madonna leads an improbably complicated life. And no, it can't be easy to maintain a strong marriage amidst three young children and an international pop career, but it is always Madonna who is on the receiving end of the bile. She puts her career first and she downplays his; she runs away to New York prompting rumours of affairs with baseball players; she leaves his 40th birthday party early.
Unions between those in the public eye, and specifically creative talent are rarely blessed with longevity. This has nothing to do with high divorce levels and everything to do with the clash of titanic egos. Guy and Madonna must have had a vast number of tsunami-strength arguments during their eight-year marriage (let's hope they hid them from the children) which eventually extinguished their affection. They didn't give up without a fight and have explored counselling and reconciliation options.
Strong women don't have a fantastic record in sticking by their man, or being stuck by. Liza Minnelli, Liz Taylor and Shirley Bassey will testify to that, though I doubt Madonna will thank me for drawing such a comparison.

(181 views)OK, enough is enough, who do you think should stop making a fool of themselves and pack it all in!
Start Me Up sang Mick Jagger in 1981, (he's now 65).
Are 66 year old Paul McCartney's troubles still so far away, or can't he remember that far back?
Should Madonna be dressing like a 18 year-old?
Will Michael Jackson ever Beat It?
Yeah, I hope I die before I get old sang The Who.
