Iglu and Hartly

Introducing...

“Tom Petty meets The Pointer Sisters in a neon karaoke bar in Tokyo, singing Tina Turner. The music is a sonic milkshake, a genre blending, culture-defying laser show. Synths, raps, explosive hooks, colourful bridges, sailboats, inspiration.”

No, that’s not a description of an acid trip; it’s how Iglu & Hartly describe their music.

While ‘Iglu & Hartly’ sounds like the name of a curmudgeonly couple of grandpas, they are in fact a 5-piece from sun-drenched California.

Carrying out the life-long rockstar tradition of leaving college to play good music, three members of the band first met at the University of Colorado before deciding to quit and pursue their musical passion. Moving to the famed Echo Park in California, their journey began.

With a self-proclaimed ‘punk-rock’ heritage garnered from the LA clubs they toured, the band merge this with some happy 90s style rapping; think ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ meets Black Flag. Good-time party tunes a-plenty, Iglu & Hartly’s fresh, fun sound is sure to be brightening up the indie charts in the next few months.

Their debut album And Then Boom is out shortly and current single ‘In This City’ can be heard on the Absolute Radio Playlist.
