Come on guys, it's Boring!  Jeff Buckleys version is amazing yes, but Why do we have to jump on to one song, and that is all anyone will talk about for the next month?...

We're playing right in to their hands!

How about some Fresh New Music...   Any bands breaking through you want heard on Absolute Radio?

I'm a big fan of Jersey Budd - (Dylan/ Springsteen/ Tom Petty) - www.myspace.com/jerseybudd getting played a bit on Absolute now!), plus London band The Thirst (signed to Ronnie Woods label) and last but not least KAV (Iggy Pop & The Stooges vs early Rolling Stones vs Guns N Roses vs Primal Scream) www.myspace.com/kavsonic

New Guns n Roses album

just heard new album on my space ,to be honest its not as bad as i thought it may be,not great but not bad.Don't think they ever did anything close to Appetite but then again it was a hell of an album, can't help thinking a certain curly headed hat wearing guitar god could have given this album more balls ,but as I say not bad.

RCA Drop Velvet Revolver

Velvet Revolver are rumoured to have been dropped from their US record label, RCA.

Blabbermouth.net have been informed by a “reliable” source that the band will not record again for RCA Records, who are an imprint of Song BMG.

Velvet Revolver have been looking for a new singer since the beginning of 2008, when Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland left the group after just two albums.

Various singers have been touted in recent months, including Sebastian Bach, Royston Langdon, Steve Isaacs and a wild rumour that suggested Lenny Kravitz was about to join the group. However, all of the rumours have proved false and with Slash and Duff both currently working on other projects, the future of the band has a rather large question mark hanging over it – despite both Slash and Duff saying that the majority of the album had been written.

Guns N Roses man and his wife speak out against Prop 8

Guns N Roses guitarist Slash has released a video in support of gay marriage.

In the video clip, Slash plays the US national anthem 'The Star-Spangled Banner' on guitar in the background while his wife, Perla Hudson, speaks out on behalf of same-sex unions.

"I married my sweetheart, you should be able to marry yours too," she says. "Say no to hate and yes to equal rights. Keep up the fight."

They encourage people to participate in protests against Proposition 8, a California ballot initiative banning gay marriage, which voters passed in the November 4 election.

Steven Adler wants to hook up with the band after going to rehab

Former Guns N Roses drummer Steven Adler has pleaded no contest to a charge of heroin possession, indicating his desire to go to drug rehab instead of a jail sentence - and then rejoin his old band.

Adler entered the plea at the Lose Angeles Superior Court on Friday (November 14), reports Reuters, hoping that his indication to get clean would spare him jail.

The drummer's lawyer, Barry Gerald, claimed, "When he gets sober they'll (Guns N Roses) accept him into the band and then they'll do a comeback album and a world tour - that's the dream of Steven Adler."

Adler was sacked from the band in 1990 because of his drug problems. He is scheduled to appear in court again on December 12 to find out whether his attempt to avoid jail will be successful.

The star was arrested in Los Angeles on July 18 after being accused of causing a disturbance.

Lots of new music

A quick introductory post from me, listening to a lot of new tracks from bands old and new!

Wasn't as appalled as I thought I would be with the new Guns n Roses single "Chinese Democracy", the new guitar sound was odd at first, but I would rate the track as above average.

Great to see AC/DC at the top of the charts again, even if The Guardian thinks that they cause recessions. Haven't heard to much of the new album yet.

Recommendation: check out an American band called The Exies. Got a couple of their albums this week, well worth a listen.

 That's all for now folks!
