The Roundhouse venue have issued the following statement: The Roundhouse would like to apologise to both the band and the audience over the interruptions to last night’s performance. This was caused by two fire alarms that led to the evacuation of the building in accordance with health and safety regulations. Three audience members smoking in a disabled toilet set off the first fire alarm. The second alarm was triggered by an audience member smashing a fire alarm break glass in the main space once the gig had resumed. The Roundhouse would like to thank Groove Armada for their professionalism and commitment to providing the audience with a great evening despite the interuptions. There will be no refunds as the events were caused by the audience, beyond the control of the Roundhouse. And from GA themselves; Groove Armada statement: “The band share the frustration of any GA fans who feel that their enjoyment of the new live set was spoilt by the fire evacuations at the Roundhouse gig yesterday evening. Due to a number of fire alarms being set off simultaneously in different parts of the building, the Roundhouse venue staff were left with no choice but to evacuate, not once but twice. We never take the passion and emotion that you bring to our gigs for granted – two fire alarms and full evacuations never helps the mood musically or atmospherically! We would both like to personally thank you all for being so understanding in what was an extremely ‘trying’ situation.” Big love Tom and Andy x

Thanks for the update. Sorry about those idiots. I hope they got a nice slap from security. Why would you spend all the money to go to a show and then disrupt it and threaten the performance for everyone?
