Other news from last Thurs - lots of my friends saw and had pics taken with David Gest and Alex Zane, and they also saw Toby Anstis. Unfortunately I missed all the celebs! ;-)

And from GA themselves; Groove Armada statement: "The band share the frustration of any GA fans who feel that their enjoyment of the new live set was spoilt by the fire evacuations at the Roundhouse gig yesterday evening. Due to a number of fire alarms being set off simultaneously in different parts of the building, the Roundhouse venue staff were left with no choice but to evacuate, not once but twice. We never take the passion and emotion that you bring to our gigs for granted two fire alarms and full evacuations never helps the mood musically or atmospherically! We would both like to personally thank you all for being so understanding in what was an extremely 'trying' situation." Big love Tom and Andy x

The Roundhouse venue have issued the following statement: The Roundhouse would like to apologise to both the band and the audience over the interruptions to last night's performance. This was caused by two fire alarms that led to the evacuation of the building in accordance with health and safety regulations. Three audience members smoking in a disabled toilet set off the first fire alarm. The second alarm was triggered by an audience member smashing a fire alarm break glass in the main space once the gig had resumed. The Roundhouse would like to thank Groove Armada for their professionalism and commitment to providing the audience with a great evening despite the interuptions. There will be no refunds as the events were caused by the audience, beyond the control of the Roundhouse. Customers with issues to raise should put their comments in writing to info@roundhouse.org.uk. for the attention of the Operations Director, or write to Operations Director, Roundhouse, 100a Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8EH.

As always GA were excellent, but how annoying that the performance was interrupted not once, but twice, by fire alarms! I wrote to the Roundhouse to complain and got an email back from them as follows; (see next post)

I went to lovebox last yr. Really loved it but the one thing that put a dampner on it was the volume or lack of it! The festival was so compact that the sounds coming from each arena drowned each other out. Really took away a big part of the atmosphere. Doubt id go again unless they crank up the volume!!!

I also like Groove Armada, a few years ago it was one of my favourite artists. Now, it has changed, but I still like its music. My fav is the My friend because it's a classic. Do you like At The River? I think it's a great tune. This is my opinion. :)
