V Festival 2004

Hello groovy dudes

which of you went to V 2004 cos Alan my son and I have some brilliant photos of the weekend, In particular one very drunk stag party of men with naughty things written on their tees - I only remember Kodjak as a name.

Another of a youngster wearing the beer tray on his head with a real attitude - brilliant photo

But my fave is off the young man with no top on and a pink cowboy hat straggling him - I just looked down and there he was - Woof??

I didnt touch him honest but hell yes I more than thought about it.

Wendy James seeks publicity!

On Sunday night, July 22nd, at the Islington Carling Academy, Wendy James (ex-Transvision Vamp) headlines the gig.

Apparently, according to P.49 (bottom of 2nd column) of today's London Metro, she is the only performer ... but we know better!

This could work against the support acts, i.e. SUZERAIN, with people believing if she is the only act she won't be going on until later in the evening and therefore fans won't have to arrive too early.

Spread the word, repost this blog. Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaseeee!!!

festivals...

So does anybody have any spare festival tickets they wanna lend me?! hehe, IOW was absolutely brilliant and now want to spend my whole summer at festivals listening to great music, chilling with great friends and drinking great, but warm, beer... All day every day! (Minus the manki-ness of the festival toilets... very wrong!)

Friday nights fav had to be Groove Armada, so much fun to get up and dance to and the lights whilst they were on were amazing.... Snow Patrol had a excellent set and reception from the crowd too...

Saturday, Kasabian, awesome!! And I never really liked them before but the guitar and drumming... insane - Muse made the crowd rock too... and loved getting to see Wolfmother! Ledgends....

And Sunday, the Stones!!!!!!!!! The crowd went mental and there set was wicked as, I couldn't believe it when they went off... I just stood there going it can't be over!! Jumping Jack Flash had to be my fav...

Scored crates of beer of some guys on Sunday night, so didn't sleep, drank and had a very drunken ferry and car ride back on Monday...and didn't quite make it to work Tuesday....

Now I just want to go back.... work sucks :(

Anyone got any festivals to head to soon??

ARGH!

Did you ever have one of those days when everything just seems to go wrong?

I've got an inspection of my flat today by my letting agents. Last night I did some clothes washing, when the cycle had finished, I opened the machine and a load of water came out the door. So I tried to drain the washing machine and all the water came up in the kitchen sink! ew ew ew ew and it smells bad. So now the letting agent is going to go over and find a pile of stinky teatowels and the kitchen sink looks like someone puked in it from the dirty water. I washed my breakfast dishes in the bath, what a sad state of affairs. :(

Thank god the rest of the flat is immaculate. I even missed the end of How To Look Good Naked so I could hoover, now that's commitment for you.

Just to make it worse, the weather is rubbish. BAH HUMBUG!

Reverting to my normal blog subject, I have recently been making a lot of scones. Yum.

Ooh, I went to see Groove Armada last Thursday, which was brilliant. I recommend you see them if you get the chance and you like a good dance. The gig was interrupted by 2 fire alarms, shame, but I did see some celebs. I saw David Gest, who is a proper weirdo, Toby Anstis and one of the Busted chaps. How interesting!
