Best Foo's album to date. Full of anthems from beginning to end, There is the rock on disc one and on disc 2 is an acoustic album for the more mellow moments in life. fantastic!!!!!!

As a foos fan it will be difficult to give any album of thiers a poor review. BUT i will be brutally honest with you now. This is just fab. Really good. Foo's back to their best. It's up there with "colour and the shape" and the "foo fighters" debut. The acoustic track with norah jones still shocks the hell out of me whenever i hear it, but to me this album is the foos back to their best. They have always had a good mix of rock and slower more acoustic tracks on their albums. This is just a lot more than we are used to and it is a great treat. I think it is better than their last two albums "nothing left to lose" and "one by one". but that's my opinion.ok, it's not The Beatles "white album", but to be honest at least with this album i can happily listen to every track, whereas with The white album, side B is obviously alot weaker than the side A I tend to skip tracks. I think there is something for everyone on this album.Love it!

After downloading the digital licence and installing the latest Windows media player like the disc's software told me to I still can't get it to play. I've tried two other CD players on my PC and neither have any luck with it.So if you normally listen to your CDs at work on a PC like I do this is one to avoid.

All is right with the world- a new Foo Fighters double album is here- and its a terrific effort. Some reviews have been a bit sniffy, especially with reference to disc 2 (but more of that later). Disc 1 contains some of the heaviest stuff they have ever done and Dave screams his heart out to within an inch of the life of his larynx (warning- singing along with this lot in the car will wreck your voice!). No weak tracks at all with No Way Back, DOA and Free Me noteworthy highlights. If this was the album in its entirety it would go down as a (albeit a bit short) classic. Now, disc 2 steps things down but there's much to enjoy although it could be accused of being a tad self-indulgent (check out Virginia Moon as a case in point) but Dave should be commended for not sitting back and taking the easy route. Some may be alienated while it might open up a new audience. As disc 2 doesn't have quite the cohesion of disc 1 it means only 4 stars overall but highly recommended!
