i am as one with mr horseflesh (despite his curious name) anyone with any sense will wait until next year when the special 31st year anniversery triple disc will be out - this will include false starts, bum notes, boring barely audible studio chatter and other essentials

I bought the original LP when it came out and have so far resisted repackages but I hear this one has a whole live concert from 1978. I saw Elvis (or is it DP?) several times with the Attractions at that time and they were awesome, so for me this is a must.

Another complete rip-off - one of many more to come no doubt. How many versions of this are people supposed to buy? It is a disgrace. Shame on all involved.

Just as EC himself declares he doesn't care if he never plays England again, I don't care if I never buy another EC CD again - especially another tedious reissue of an album of which 4 different versions are already in my possession.
The original album is a 4-5 star, just like the artist himself once was, but it's goodbye from a disgruntled fan of 20 years. I am disgusted by Costello's decision to shun his UK fans simply because he has a problem with the media. Declan, that is simply pathetic - the dummy has been spat out from the pram once again, grow up.
I recall an interview when Elvis stated he would consider deleting his entire back catalogue by 2000. Instead he appears to enjoy raking in the royalities from yearly reissues such as this.
'This Years Rip-off' is testament to a once great talent and it pains me it all had to end this way.

A great album as has been said. But as someone who's bought the vinyl, the CD, the CD with extra tracks and the CD with an extra CD, I've just about reached my limit. And each year sees a new compilation. We know that the old albums are much much better than anything he'd done these past couple of decades, but enough already!
