This double CD looks good value, but, it is a recording of ELO Part II Live in Sydney in 1995. The inner notes try to impress saying it was recorded in front of 18,000 people, but sadly it really just sounds like a good ELO covers band. Some original members of ELO listed as there, but not Jeff Lynne and it shows in the vocals. Had this been a DVD of the concert it may well have been enjoyable, as the crowd really seem to be enjoying themselves, but as just an audio experience - as I said it is just a good covers band with some excellent backing. Good sound quality.

How many times is Part II live in Australia going to be renamed and repackaged ,To call this album the very best of ELO is an affront to Jeff Lynne's genius, avoid as with all part II travesties!

Please don't be put off by other reveiws. I've seen this band live several times, & trust me, they realy are brilliant musicians, reproducing the origional sound of the great ELO to perfection. Jeff Lynne is missing, but other origional band members are there.
This album is deffinately a worth while buy if you like ELO,but better still if you get the chance go to see them live, they rock!!
