Not my absolute favourite ELO track, but definitely in my top 10 favourites of theirs. Jeff Lynne, ELO's songwriter, described it thus: "Originally called 'Dead End Street' [and with a different set of lyrics], has the most edits of any record I've ever made. Painstakingly joined together with half a mile of editing tape". Just to remind people of the brilliance of this slice of classy, hook-laden pop ... www.youtube.com The most obvious edits occur at 1'55" and 1'59" - would be a breeze in today's digital era, but must have been a nightmare in the days when edits were done by physically cutting up and joining tapes!
