Warm -Up Gigs in June - For Fan CLub Members

Reformed Britpop icons Blur are set to play two extremely intimate warm up shows in June. Blur formed in the late 80s, centred on the creative partnership of Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn. Beginning life as Seymour, Blur came to define the Britpop movement before splintering in 2002. However the group defied predictions to reform last year, with Coxon and Albarn patching up their poor relationship. Blur are due to play some massive gigs over the summer, including a spectacular two night stand at Hyde Park in London. The band will warm up for these dates with a pair of extremely small shows. The reformed band are set to return to the venue where they played their first ever gig, the East Anglian Railway Museum. All revenue from the gig will go to aid the museum as well as the Aldham Village Hall Restoration Project. Blur will follow this with a show on June 22nd in London's Goldsmith College. All proceeds from this show will be given to the Teenage Cancer Trust, whose directors include The Who's singer Roger Daltrey. Both Alex James and Graham Coxon are former pupils of the college. In a statement to fans the group announced the details to the shows, with tickets due to be available from Blur's official website. Blur are set to play massive shows at London's Hyde Park and Manchester's MEN Arena over the summer. The band themselves have handpicked the support for the shows which will include Foals, Vampire Weekend, Florence & The Machine and many more. In addition to this Blur will play a number of festival appearances including T In The Park and Oxegen.
