Wow, this was a surprise. I mean, I like BRMC but this is something quite special. A modern classic. No, really. The greatest album of this Millennium. Easily.
They seem to have grabbed every style they played with in their previous albums and mixed them together to get the album people said they were capable of after their debut. Great tunes, beat-ridden anthems, grunged down rockers, epic bassy soundscape, politics, attitude and soul. Lots of soul. A funked out Nirvana/Muse hybrid written by the Gallaghers for the 00'ies.
The new batch of teenagers have a soundtrack to their lives, at last. This is what happened to the revolution.
