I really like DC and Beyonce so of course I was going to buy this album. It has a really good mix of slow and fast songs, with the token duets with Jay Z. It's the kind of album you need to listen to a couple of times before you decided whether or not you like it. One thing it does lack is that there are no 'girl anthems' on it, like 'Survivor' or 'Bills Bills Bills' which is disappointing, but nevertheless, this is an album which will get you singing and dancing along to.

'B-Day' is a great album. It has all the required elements to make an R&B classic: heavy beats, great vocals, world-class production, big collaborations and of course, Beyonce's incredible sex appeal. But even with all this there's still something missing...depth.
Beyonce has somehow managed to create a whole album comlpetely lacking in substance. Tracks like Freakum Dress, Get Me Bodied and Suga Mama are great for getting down on a dancefloor, and truly prove that she is still the number 1 R&B artist around, but anyone looking for anything more than sex, partying and the love material possessions aren't going to find it here!
Where are the meaningful and liberating lyrics that songs like 'Survivor', 'Through With Love' and 'Independant Women' have made Beyonce famous for? These tracks are when Beyonce is truly at her best, and yet she seems to have completely neglected them here.
Other than with the bonus track 'Listen' written for her new movie 'Dreamgirls', Beyonce basically sold out.
That aside, this is still a great album with standout tracks including 'Upgrade U' and 'Irreplacable' amongst others, and i can't wait to see her perform them live when she tours, but seriously Beyonce...stop being so 2-dimensional and show some depth!!

Her First Album "Dangerously In Love" Was Honestly Only Average!! Although All The Singles: "Crazy In Love", "Naughty Girl", "Baby Boy", "Me Myself And I" Were All Great!! The Other Tracks Basically Were Very Dissapointing!! I'd Lost Faith In Beyoncé, But Then I Saw "Déjá Vu" Which Was Good, But Then I Heard "Ring The Alarm" And Thought, HELL YES!!
I GOT "B-DAY" AND IT IS EVERYTHING THAT "DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE" IS NOT!!
01. Déjá Vu (Featuring Jay-Z)
02. Get Me Bodied
03. Suga Mama
04. Upgrade U (Featuring Jay-Z)
05. Ring The Alarm
06. Kitty Kat
07. Freakum Dress
08. Green Light
09. Irreplaceable
10. Resentment
11. Encore For The Fans (Check On It/Listen/Get Me Bodied Extended)
ALL THE TRACKS STAND OUT!! But My Favourites Are "Déjá Vu", "Get Me Bodied", "Suga Mama", "Upgrade U", "Ring The Alarm", "Freakum Dress", "Resentment", "Check On It" And "Listen"!! THEY RULE!!
Also On iTunes There Was A Pre-Ordered Bonus Track "Lost Yo Mind" Which Was Also A Fab Standout Track And Should Have Been On The Album!!
And The Japanese Bonus Track "Creole" Is Another Stand Out!! THIS ALBUM JUST TOTALLY RULES AND IS A MUST-BUY!!

To be honest, I had high hopes for this album but it just disappointed me more than it entertained me. I absolutely hate 'Deja Vu' as I think its the most uninspiring song ever! 'Ring The Alarm' is different and it's OK but the stand out song on the album has to be 'Irreplaceable' because I think it's like a Destiny's Child sounding track and in my eyes you can't go wrong with that!
The best thing that Beyonce could do right now is get back with Kelly & Michelle and make proper R&B music like she used to do.
*Also, STOP doing duet's with Jay Z... we get the point that you two are together but your duets (& there are many) are just pointless. Try collaborating with other artists!*
