I think this is a brilliant album. I bought it on the strength of the single 'Walls Fall Down', which I had only heard a thirty second clip of on itunes, but loved it so much I decided to go and buy the CD. On first listen, all the songs may roll into one sunny reggae song a bit, but after listening to it a few times you realise that every tune is in fact very different. I read in another review somewhere that there are too many instruments in every song, too many layers, and this is kind of true - I'd love to hear a really simple melody played by just an acoustic guitar, with drums and vocals. That would be much more effective and would break up the album a bit. However you can't deny that this album is packed with happy, joyful songs, many of which do stand out - Walls Fall Down, my number one song, St. Andrews has a very catchy chorus, Trinco Dog is great, Bells of 59... to name a few. Bedouin Soundclash make fantastic reggae/pop music, which experiments with other genres such as punk, and with Street Gospels they have created an album you will want to hear over and over. It can't fail to brighten up your day!

This is a massive letdown after their last, brilliant album.

Buy Sounding A Mosaic. Avoid this, or it may sour your Soundclash experience.

After listening to this album many times in a few days, i feel that this is their best album so far. This is a change in sound after their first two albums, this one being less ska/reggae and more rock in some places and pop in other places.
The first thing i noticed about this album is how awesome Jay's voice has become and how beautiful some of the songs are, in particular on 12:59 Lullaby.
Best Tracks:
Walls Fall Down
Bells Of 59
12:59 Lullaby
Nico On The Night Train

It's just as good as their last album, which was awesome. Bedouin Soundclash are, in my opinion, the best band to come out this decade. Their sound is classic guitar reggae / rock crossover, yet still fresh and different. Most of the songs on this album are brilliant, especially St Andrews, Nico on the Night Train, Walls Fall Down, Hearts in the Night, Bells of 59 and Until We Burn in the Sun.

Highly recommended.

I have to agree whole heartedly with James Archer. This is the first time i have felt compelled to write a review, but i was that disappointed with this album, i felt i had to vent my spleen. On the strength of their two previous albums I went and saw Bedouin Soundclash 3 times over the space of about a year, and they were cracking live, as were the two albums. I bought this album, and i have three words to describe it: Mainstream, UB40, Pants. Sorry guys, but sort it out...
