The premise is good: remix a number of Beastie Boys songs from different albums, with the emphasis very much on New York. The result, unfortunately, is not so good. The album has a hasty feel to it, and could definitely do without the unnecessary interventions of DJ Green Lantern. If you want a brilliant and coherent album that concentrates the mind on the Beasties' views of their home city of New York, then you'd be better off checking out Paul's Boutique instead.
