Absolute Radio: Discover real music

Hmmmm. For your information, this is the straight cd version of the original "Best Of Argent" LP release. This explains the short running time. You will be disappointed to hear that "Schoolgirl" almost certainly DOES feature on the British version of this album. (I don't have access to my vinyl copy at the present time, but i'm pretty certain of this.) I see that "Time Of The Season" is on the track listing, and that was definitely NOT on the original LP. This is certainly explained by the fact that this cd is a US import, and "TOTS" was a moderately big Zombies hit "across the pond".

It seems very unfortunate that a greater effort hasn't been made to produce a true cd-era compilation, with a more generous playing time. But i expect that Argent are hardly a priority for their record company. Shame, because they were an interesting and under-rated group.

The first six songs are rock classics, and deservedly so; great music. Pity about the last two tracks, which are not so good. And what about some of the other good Argent music? Why only 8 tracks on this CD? One of my favourite Argent songs is 'Schoolgirl'; why isn't that included, for example?So, if you want a brief sample of Argent's music ("brief" being the operative word) then get this CD, but be aware that it's an incomplete anthology and some good Argent songs are missing.

Product is fine, a bit pricey but its coming from the States so you have to expect that. Arrived on time and in good condition, and of course the sound is amazing from an very under rated band.
