Arctic Monkeys previewed four new songs at a comeback gig in New Zealand on Monday.
The Sheffield band's first concert for over a year was at Wellington Town Hall. The intimate show was a warm-up ahead of their performances at the Big Day Out festival later this month.
They opened the show with B-side 'Da Frame 2R' and also performed hits 'The View From The Afternoon', 'Dancing Shoes' and 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor'. In the encore they performed a cover of Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds' 'Red Right Hand'.
The new songs were titled 'Dangerous Animals', 'Pretty Visitors', 'Crying Lightning' and 'Go-Kart', which is rumoured to be about frontman Alex Turner's Mini. The tracks featured the band playing slide guitar and a little toy piano.
The group's third studio album, which has been produced with Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, is expected to be released later this year.
