People please stop judging alanis's albums by the reveiws, when i first bought supposed i thought 'crap this is no way near as good as Jagged little pill' but once you acctually clear your mind and acctually listen to the fantastic tunes and lyrics you will realise that this is alanis breaking out of a shell, and trying to show the world she does not have to be angry to create fantastic music!!!!!best songs on supposed:Baba,Joining you,Cant not, sympathetic caracter.

Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie was the follow up to Jagged Little Pill and many people that own JLP said that SFIJ wasn't half as good. If you stand this album on its own, there aren't as many amazing songs as on JLP but they arent bad. The highlights are THANK YOU, UNSENT, FRONT ROW, WOULD NOT COME, JOINING YOU, and SO PURE amaong others. There seems to be more wild and wierd instruments and discordant melodies and harmonies in this album but it is definitely worth the money. 8/10

This was the first Alanis album I bought and I was not disappointed. The songs are absorbing and involving. As well as Alanis' brilliant (if sometimes confusing) lyrics, the songs on the album contain brilliant melodies and cleverly written music which ranges from the simple ('Your Congratulations') to the complex ('Front Row'). The album is a strak departure from 'Jagged Little Pill' but is, in my opinion, better. Alanis has chosen to write songs as she wants to and isn't trying to folloup JLP. Highlights of the album include the mistifying and involving 'The Couch' and 'I Was Hoping', the beautiful 'One' and 'Joining You' and the lighter, more fun 'So Pure'.

A very disappointing follow-up to Jagged Little Pill, this album is still clever - good lyrics, her brilliant voice, but it just doesn't come up to the standard of her first album. Where is the passion? Maybe satisfying for true Morissette fans, but not for me. In fact, I am a true Morissette fan - I think she's brilliant, but this album was simply not as good as the first and that's all there is to it.

Despite the hype surrounding this album I'm afraid it doesn't quite push the right buttons for me. Alanis Morissette is something of a musical hybrid.Offering Avril Lavigne-esque soft rock riffs coupled with Tory Amos's surrealism and vocalisation. No strong tracks jump out and grab you and the whole lenghty outing begins to outstay its welcome after a while. If this as some have graded it,is a five star album then you have to ask if the reviewers have ever heard a real five star album...'Revolver'..'Pet Sounds'..'Blonde on Blonde' etc !
