Go back to the competition pageSection 1. General1. The promoter of this competition is Wembley National Stadium Limited (the “Promoter”), Wembley Stadium, Wembley, London HA9 0WS (‘the Promoter’).
2. The Promoter shall run this competition in association with TIML Radio Limited [t/a Absolute Radio]
3. Entry into the competition is dependent on your acceptance of these terms and conditions, and all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any invalid or incorrect entry or any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions and to exclude multiple entries from the same person.
4. This competition is open to residents of the UK, aged 18 years or over at the time of entry, except for employees of The FA Group, Absolute Radio and other affiliates, their family members, its dealers/distributor or other staff or anyone connected with this competition. Spammers and any entries made through a third party or using an invalid email address will be disqualified. Any entry will be void if the Promoter deems it that it has been made by an ineligible person.
5. To enter the competition participants must 'Like' the official Wembley Facebook page at
http://www.facebook.com/WembleyStadium, enter their details on the ‘competition’ tab, and state why they should be chosen as the Wembley Super Fan in less than 140 characters.
6. No purchase is necessary to participate in the competition.
7. Entry is open between 11am Wednesday 1st February 2012 until 5pm on Thursday 16th February 2012. Entries received after this time will not be valid.
8. The winner will be chosen in accordance with the following 2 phase process:
Phase 1(a) Five finalists will be selected based on the answers provided and in accordance with point 11 below from all valid entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions. The Five finalists will be contacted within 24 hours after the closing date for the competition.
(b) If the Promoter is unable to contact one or more of the five finalists
within the 24 hours from the closing date for the competition, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another finalist from the valid entries received without further notice.
Phase 2(a) The five finalists will be asked to provide the Promoter and Absolute Radio with information to create a mini profile for use on the Absolute Radio and Wembley websites and digital platforms and broadcast on Absolute Radio. The finalists shall consent to this information being used on Absolute Radio’s website and as part of any Absolute Radio broadcasts.
(b) The information relating to the 5 finalists will be live on the Absolute Radio website and will be broadcast on Absolute Radio from 5pm on Monday 20th February 2012
(c) Absolute Radio listeners and Wembley fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite finalist via absoluteradio.co.uk. All voters will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of VIP tickets for England v Holland on 29th February 2011. An entrant will be picked at random once the competition has closed after midday on Friday 24th February. The winning voter will be contacted within 7 days of the competition closing.
9. The winner of Wembley Super Fan 2012 will be the finalist with the most votes from Absolute Radio listeners and shall be announced on Absolute radio on the afternoon of Friday 24th February.
10. Each Super Fan entry must include correct information regarding participant's name, telephone number, date of birth and email address.
11. A panel of judges, including representatives of the Promoter, Absolute Radio and at least one independent judge will select up to five finalists based upon their answer to the competition question. All five finalists will be contacted by telephone.
12. The Promoter's decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding this competition, including but not limited to the process for selection of finalists and/or the winner,
13. All entrants are responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by them as a result of participation in the competition (including without limitation costs for accessing the Internet). Costs to access the Internet may vary so please check with your service provider for current charges.
14. No responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged, or undelivered, whether due to technical difficulties affecting electronic communication or otherwise.
15. Subject to these terms and conditions any personal information submitted as part of the competition, including, without limitation, an entrant’s name, phone number and/or email address will be used solely in connection with this competition (including to process the competition and for publicity purposes around the competition), and will not be disclosed to any third party except for the purpose of this promotion or fulfilling prize(s) where applicable, unless permission to use for marketing purposes is granted by the participant at the time of entry or otherwise (in which case personal information will be used in accordance with such permission). http://www.wembleystadium.com/privacy-policy16. The Promoter reserves the right at any time and from time to time without any liability whatsoever, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently this competition or these terms and conditions, with or without prior notice.
17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered as a result of entering the competition, not being able to enter into the competition, selection as a finalist or acceptance of any prize. Nothing shall exclude the liability of the Promoter for fraud or for death or personal injury as a result of the Promoter’s s negligence.
18. Full details of the Prize and name of the competition winner can be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to the following address: Wembley Stadium Super Fan competition, Wembley National Stadium Limited, Wembley Stadium, PO Box 1966, London SW1P 9EQ.
19. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with them or the competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Section 2. Prize20. The winner of the competition will be provided with a pair of tickets to the events set out below held at Wembley Stadium for the remainder of 2012 (the “Prize”). The events shall be;
• England v Holland
• Saracens v Harlequins
• FA Cup Semi Final 1
• FA Cup Semi Final 2
• FA Cup Final
• England v Belgium
• England v Ukraine
• England v San Marino
21. Tickets may at the Promoter’s discretion be for any area within the Stadium. . Travel and accommodation are not included in the Prize and the Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any costs associated with the Prize which are not specifically included in the Prize, including, without limitation, meals, personal expenses and travel expenses in connection with the Prize, including any costs associated with the use of any ticket provided as part of the Prize.
22. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable. No cash or credit alternatives are available. In the event of any of the Prize becoming unavailable for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize. The winner agrees to comply with the conditions of entry applicable at Wembley (
http://www.wembleystadium.com/events/groundregulations/), and shall ensure that those attending with them also do so.
23. The winner is strictly prohibited from selling or transferring the prize or any ticket provided in relation thereto to any other person. Any transfer, offer for sale or auction will render the Prize void and disqualify the winner from receiving any further tickets. If the winner is unable to attend an event, the Promoter reserves the right to withhold the relevant event tickets for its own use.
24. Subject to condition 21, the winner is entitled to a maximum of two tickets to each event unless otherwise stated by The Promoter.
25. Allocated tickets for each event will be available for collection on the day of the event, location and time of pick up to be arranged with the competition winner via email or telephone no less than 72hrs prior to the event taking place.
Section 3: Participation in promotional activities 26. The competition winner will be required to participate in promotional activities organised by the Promoter which may include but shall not be limited to conducting fan and celebrity interviews, attending parties and press events, participating in advertisements and creating content as reasonably required by the Promoter. By entering this competition you agree to participate in such promotional activity and to the use of your name and/or image and audio for promotional purposes and you consent to the Promoter and Absolute Radio using such images or audio files.
