September is Mr. Jack's Birthday – Win a guitar signed by The Vaccines.
Jack Daniel’s celebrate Mr. Jack’s Birthday all September long, every year. That’s because they’re none too sure when in the month he was born. But there’s no doubting where he was born – Lynchburg, Tennessee.
The celebrations this year will culminate in a unique party at the stunning setting of The Devil’s Arse in the Peak District, which has the largest cave entrance in the UK. Being that all of Jack’s famous Whiskey is crafted using the iron-free Cave Spring water that flows at the distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, celebrating Jack’s Birthday in a cave seems like the right thing to do.
So it is that Saturday 6 October sees one of the annual highlights of the music calendar as Mr. Jack’s Birthday literally goes underground to party with The Vaccines, Mystery Jets and Tribes, plus a few surprises… and there's still a chance to win tickets. You can also win a Jack Daniel's-themed guitar signed by all three bands! For your chance, read on…

Mystery Jets have remained one of the most vital and intriguing bands of the alternative scene since their debut album, Making Dens. Second album, Twenty One, delivered the single, Half In Love With Elizabeth which became a summer anthem across the UK. With a further two albums since then (Serontonin and Radlands), Mystery Jets are firmly established as one of the most important alternative bands of the past five years and a formidable live force.

The Vaccines are the success story of the last two years. The first ever band to appear on Later With Jools Holland before releasing a single, the rise of the London based four piece was astounding, from small venues to a top five debut album, finishing the year as Best New Band at the NME Awards in January 2012. Having supported The Stone Roses at their outdoor shows in Heaton Park and with new album, The Vaccines Come Of Age set for a September release, you can expect this show to be talked about in the end of year polls.

Tribes have lit up 2012 with their debut album. Hotly tipped following debut single, We Were Children by the likes of NME, The Fly and Zane Lowe, the London four piece spent 2011 supporting the likes of Pixies and Kaiser Chiefs and are building a reputation for a dedicated and fanatical fanbase. Little wonder that debut album Baby, released at the start of this year, scored the band a Top 20 album placing alongside a slot on the prestigious NME Awards Tour 2012.
Within the Devil’s Arse, those lucky patrons will be served at a bar inspired by Mr. Jack’s own White Rabbit Saloon in Lynchburg, Tennessee, which served his world-famous whiskey in his hometown before the county went dry. In addition to the Jack Daniel's guitar signed by The Vaccines, Mystery Jets and Tribes, the winner of our competition will get a bottle of White Rabbit Saloon, a limited-edition bottle produced to mark the 120th anniversary of the White Rabbit Saloon in Lynchburg, and signed by the Jack Daniel's master distiller.
