The View in The Absolute Radio Sessions
The seventh band in session in 2011 was The View. The exclusive gig took place at Hard Rock London.
We gave one of our listeners the chance to be our Hard Rock VIP at the recent The View gig, and here’s the review of what they thought of the event:
WOW! What a performance, what a venue and what a night!
I was extremely lucky to win tickets to see the view at Hard Rock Cafe near Hyde park corner, for a night of food, drink and of course Dundee's finest!
With beer and food on tap the anticipation mounted.
On stage their effortless, youthful and dam rite brilliant!
They open up with the classic Wasted little DJs, for me one of the greatest intros in music! It gets the crowd buzzing straight away.
Storming through their set list their fans are dancing and there's head nodding of the finest order. The View blend the set with new and old songs such as 5 Rebecca's, Skag Trendy and Shock Horror. With Grace and the magical
Sunday sure to be a festival anthem, knitting the set together.
They finish with the timeless Super Star Tradesman and the new Underneath The Lights, which leaves the tipsy crowd wanting more from a band top of their game.
The View tour in April, I've got my tickets and I'd advise you to get yours!
An hour or so later the band came out had a beer, a chat and a laugh with us which was a pleasure, and we can’t wait to see them again in April.
Thank you Absolute radio and Hard Rock Cafe for a night my guest and I will never forget.
