The second artist in session for 2011 was
Amy MacDonald. The exclusive gig took place on the 22 February at Hard Rock London.
We gave one of our listeners the chance to be our Hard Rock VIP at the recent Amy MacDonald gig, and here’s the review of what Nicole Feuersenger thought of the event:
This is the life! After having won two tickets on Absolute Radio, I took my friend for a belated birthday treat to see Amy on Monday night. What a treat it was! Having already got her first album it was a great opportunity to hear some of her new material.
Although it being quite a short set, she continued from where she left off with her previous album; upbeat, passionate and well crafted. As well enjoying some of her more well known songs (Poison Prince and This Is The Life). I loved Spark, her new single Don't Tell Me That It's Over and a beautiful cover of Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark.
Along with free beverages and finger food, it was a very relaxing and welcoming change for a Monday night. Thanks Absolute Radio!
