Switch article view:Match preview Norwich hope to disrupt Manchester United's title bid
By Julian Shea.
Kick off Sunday 26 February 2012 at 13:30, Carrow Road.
Norwich have an almost full squad to choose from as they look to build on their fine win at Swansea last time out, and keep alive their hopes of a shock Europa League place.
Daniel Ayala (hamstring), Marc Tierney (groin) and Jonny Howson (knee) are out but American central defender Zak Whitbread is fit after missing two games with a hamstring injury, and he could challenge Elliott Ward for a place in the starting XI.
With Premier League leaders Manchester City showing few signs of slipping up, United can ill-afford any slip-ups for the rest of the season.
Wayne Rooney missed the Europa League tie with Ajax because of a throat infection and faces a race to be fit in time, so Danny Welbeck is likely to celebrate his England call-up with his fourth start in five League games.
Javier Hernandez, who has been in fine goalscoring form recently, is likely to partner him.
Midfielder Tom Cleverley has returned to the sidelines following another ankle injury, where he joins Anders Lindegaard (ankle), Nemanja Vidic (knee), Antonio Valencia (hamstring), Anderson (knee), Darren Fletcher (llness) and Michael Owen (thigh), although Nani lasted the full 90 minutes against Ajax on Thursday after a month out and should be involved at Carrow Road.
