Switch article view:Match preview Big names back as Chelsea travel to Everton
By Julian Shea.
Kick off Saturday 11 February 2012 at 15:00, Goodison Park.
Goals have been in short supply at Goodison Park this season, so Everton fans will be desperate for new striker Nikica Jelavic to make his home debut and see if he can repeat his goal-scoring form for Rangers.
Midfielder Jack Rodwell will not be risked, though, as he continues his faltering recovery from a nagging hamstring injury. Phil Jagielka, Leon Osman (both knee) and Seamus Coleman (thigh) also miss out.
No-one likes it when the boss decides to stand over you and watch you working, so the presence of Roman Abramovich at Chelsea's training ground this week cannot have done much for what was left of manager Andre Villas-Boas's confidence, following last week's disastrous collapse from 3-0 up against Manchester United.
Admittedly it was a Chelsea team missing many of its biggest names that allowed the champions to battle back and claim a point, but it could still turn out to cost the club more than just the two points dropped.
Midfield duo Frank Lampard (calf) and John Mikel Obi (hamstring) were among those missing last week but they should both be fit for the trip to Goodison Park.
Ashley Cole also returns after suspension, but John Terry and Ramires (both knee) miss out once again.
