We've stumbled upon this guy when we were checking out his myspace, before we knew it the whole office was listening to it! We've played his new single a couple of times and you seem to like it.

He's from Leicester, and proud of it, and counts Kasabian and Oasis among his mates - and if Noel Gallagher's behind him then we're not going to argue! His new single's called She Came Back and he's playing some dates around the UK, both solo and supporting The Rifles and John Martyn so see if you can catch him live:

How hard is it to write a hit record????

So last week on the show we were talking about lyrics and song writing. How hard is it to write a song like 'Fix You' or 'Rehab', or 'Imagine'? Sometimes the best songs have the simplest of lyrics but I have always said I could never write a song. EVER! So we opened it up to you to help out, and this is what we got. A joint effort.
Verse 1
Sometimes when I close my eyes and think about you
Thinking of all the stupid things we used to say and do
No Rhyme or no reason there's no looking back move on with your life - it's just a one way track
I'm moving forward running into the crowd cos I can't turn back

Hello folks, just a little note to say thank you so much for all the lovely messages and gifts I have been sent for my newborn son Harry who was born at 8:40pm on Saturday evening. He weighed 6 pounds 7, and both mother and baby are doing rally well.

Very exciting stuff and I am over the moon, and can't wait to bring him to One Golden Square.

Gonna be an exciting autumn with sleepless nights and a brand new radio station!

I'll be back on the radio Monday night at 7pm, have a great few days with Graeme.
