Round-up from the weekend 15/11/08:

A summary of the week's football

Manchester United bounced back from their defeat last week with an emphatic 5-0 victory against newcomers Stoke City. Cristiano Ronaldo got two goals and an assist to put him past the 100 goals mark for the club.

Aston Villa showed further intent of breaking into the top four when they visited Arsenal. An Agbonlahor goal settled Villa's nerves after a Gael Clichy own goal gave them the lead. The sides are now level on points, but Arsenal have a better goal difference.

Liverpool travelled to the Reebok Stadium and beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 to maintain the pressure at the top of the league. Dirk Kuyt and Steven Gerrard got the goals, with Fernando Torres hitting the post late on.

Top 5 Players after the weekend's action:

Player Position Score
N Anelka ST 40
J Bosingwa FB 37
C Ronaldo MF 30
G Agbonlahor ST 29
J Terry CB 27

Cristiano Ronaldo is the most expensive player in Rock'N'Roll Football at £9.2m but he really is quite something. He has scored 30 points so far, the third highest so far this season, but he has only played in eight games through injury. Buy him if you can afford him!

Liverpool's Fabio Aurelio has been on a bit of a hot-streak lately, racking up the points for clean sheets and getting two assists from crosses. He's the perfect partner to the on-fire Jose Bosingwa.

Gary Cahill of Bolton has scored 7 points this month which, as a bargain £3.5m centre back, is quite good. Having a points scoring centre back from outside the big four allows you to perhaps afford a big scorer from elsewhere.
