Pun Street
(91 views)The minutes from The Pun Street Planning Committee, Week 30, are as follows:
The first application was from John Mansfield, who submitted a request for a tiling company named
Bonnie Tilers. The immediate reaction from the impressed committee required little discussion, and Bonnie Tilers was unanimously granted a place on Pun Street.
Next up was an application from Andy for a fridge company named
007 Refridgeration, with a License to Chill. Danielle quickly dismissed the request as Fail Lane whilst Dave was charmed by the business. Upon dissecting the name however, it was decided that the pun is a bi-product of the name- and not in the name of the business itself- and the committee decided that was not acceptable for a worthy place on Pun Street.
Liz from Buckinghamshire is setting up a cake shop, and discussions within the committee about a suitable name for it continued. Last weeks front runner
Cake Me Up Before You Go-Go came under threat today, as Goodness Cake came into the running. Kenneth however pointed out that there is already a cake shop
called My Goodness Cakes in America, and therefore that name would be ineligable. Friends of Liz suggested that Scone With The Wind, Choccie Balboa and A Wonderful Slice might be suitable for the business, and the committee gave its blessing to for the business to be called
A Wonderful Slice.
Last weeks pending application of
Bikes-On-Wheels reached a conclusion today. As promised Martin looked into the font of the sign for the business, and as it was not written in Comic Sans Serif, he decided that it definitely wasn't worthy a place on Pun Street.
