Absolute Radio has signed one of the UK's most listened to radio personalities in time for the arrival of the world's biggest sporting event in the UK.
Vaughan will be broadcasting every day with feature interviews from comedians and presenters, alongside our athletes and sportspeople, reflecting the big events, the obscure sports, and the day's talking points on and off the track.

Johnny will broadcast every day from the Opening Ceremony on Friday 27 July to the Closing Ceremony on Sunday 12 August. He'll be on-air from 5 to 7pm on Absolute Radio and repeated across the entire Absolute Radio Network from 6-8pm, allowing fans of stations such as Absolute Radio 60s or Absolute 80s to enjoy Johnny's show and music from their favourite decade.

Johnny's arrival forms part of a stunning summer of programming on Absolute Radio, which also includes live music coverage from some of the summer's biggest music festivals and events, including the Isle of Wight Festival, Hard Rock Calling, Cornbury Festival and 80s Rewind.

Johnny Vaughan's Biography
Johnny is one of the UK's best known and well loved broadcasters. Since the start of his career he has risen through the ranks across the media industry with his television and radio work, comedy writing and weekly columns for the biggest daily newspapers in the country.
In 1994 Channel 4 first recognized his TV potential and gave him a slot hosting the cult show Moviewatch, followed by his own weekly chat show Here's Johnny. His first major role was presenting The Big Breakfast, where his madcap humor and on-air chemistry with Denise Van Outen helped restore viewing figures, and Johnny earnt critical acclaim.
In 2003 Johnny was recruited by BBC3 to help launch the channel – a unique 2-year deal, giving him the freedom to work across a range of different projects.
In 2004 Johnny made a return to writing comedy with his dope drama – Top Buzzer.
His production company Worlds End is thriving and is behind such successes as Katie Brand on ITV.
Johnny is best known as the host of the Capital Radio Breakfast show. This year he left the show on a high when it achieved a record number of listeners since 2005. Johnny continues to enjoy a career in television.
This year Johnny followed the Society of Thames Mudlarks as they embarked on a number of Thames riverside digs using metal detectors to locate archaeological treasures in Mud Men for the History Channel. The second series of Mud Men is now broadcasting on the History Channel.
