Tim Shaw

Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm

Tim is infamous for creative, wacky stunts which have generated blanket coverage in the press. One of the most memorable being the selling of his precious sports car on eBay by his beloved wife – for just 50p!
After four successful years at Kerrang! Radio including a progression from the night-time slot (which eventually had a bigger audience than the breakfast show) to weekday breakfast, Tim was famously sacked. All the more reason to come to a station which is unapologetic and actively encouraging naughtiness!

Over the last 13 years presenting radio shows on Kiss 100, BRMB, Magic, Hallam FM, BBC local stations, Century and Kerrang! Radio, Tim has earned the title of ‘The Most Internationally awarded Radio Presenter in the UK today’. Having been branded by the tabloids as ‘The UK's answer to Howard Stern’, a title which he rejects as well as ‘The Liberator of Radio’ which he embraces, Tim has made it his mission to gain recognition for quirky, innovative stunts and broadcasting.

Over the last two years he has picked up nine of the prestigious New York Radio awards (six golds), two of which are for a six hour interview he did with an Auschwitz survivor. The other golds are for comedy (The Asylum on Kerrang! Radio) and breakfast radio (Kiss 100 weekday breakfast).

Ironically he was also awarded EMAP's most prestigious award, 'The Entertainment Award' and a year later, 'Speech Broadcaster of the Year' by Dee Ford – who, 8 years ago, signed a cheque to pay the radio authorities a fine of £50,000 for his broadcasts!

In May 2008 he was awarded 'Presenter of the Year' by the British Radio Industry.

Despite demonstrating his zany side as Mr Inappropriate on Channel 4's 'Balls of Steel', Tim has two first class honours degrees, three A-grade A-levels and then A-grade GCSEs as well as a background of engineering and design (having designed products which are available in shops).

Tim claims that it was becoming a father of two daughters and being married to a strong woman (the very same wife who sold his Lotus Esprit on eBay for 50p) has most definitely had a positive effect on his work life.

Tim’s TV career has blossomed recently as the face of Five’s Fifth Gear.
Amongst other things, Tim has previously presented on More4's current affairs debate show, 'The Last Word' and ITV1's 'Pulling Power'. He has also appeared on Virgin Media's '....And Proud' and worked on 'The Vault' on ITV1.

He recently set up a TV production company and is producing and presenting an interview show called 'The Whiteroom', as well as writing comedy scripts with Neg Dupree and filming comedy sketches for the Paranormal Channel.
