Geoff Lloyd
Born in Manchester in April 1973, Geoff Lloyd was brought up in the silk town of Macclesfield.
His childhood can be summed up as crushingly embarrassing. Two examples are:
- When undressing in his bedroom he felt the need to cover up his poster of Transvision Vamp's Wendy James, so he could not feel her eyes upon him.
- On one occasion, when he couldn't find a red nose in time for Comic Relief, his father Geoff Snr fashioned one himself out of a foam tennis ball and a tin of red paint. The next day at school Geoff Jnr's shame was slightly masked by the mild intoxication caused by the solvents contained in the paint.
19 years after his birth, Geoff made it into the world of show business, with a job reading out South Manchester and North Cheshire's traffic news on the now defunct Signal Radio Cheshire.
Since then he's presented programmes in almost every time-slot, as well as writing for TFI Friday, Comic Relief and the Edinburgh Fringe.
