Introducing...
Tiny Dancers are a five-piece folk-pop outfit from all over West Yorkshire. After growing up in the small pit villages of South Kirkby, South Elmshall and Brierley, they're based in Sheffield now and are about to take the UK by storm.
After signing to Blur and Radiohead's old label, Parlophone they've been seen supporting bands like Larrikin Love, Richard Ashcroft and Bob Dylan. Their "rootsy, country-tinged sound" has also found a fan in our very own Suggs.
After releasing a couple of singles in 2006, this year has seen 'I Will Wait For You' playlisted. Their debut album is due to be released in summer 2007 and is to be produced by John Leckie who worked with the Stone Roses.
They've built their reputation on their distinctly English style which harks back to the golden age of pop-tinged riff-rock of the 1960s. Their eccentric take on memorable harmonies means that it's not easy to pigeonhole them.
Tiny Dancers are David Kay (vocals, acoustic guitar), Chris 'Ev' Etherington (lead guitar, keyboards), Dez Wathey (bass guitar), Duncan 'Zed' Morrison (drums) and Glover (keyboards, glockenspiel, percussion, guitar).
