The Virgins truly embody the sound of young NYC. Having supported such legends as Sonic Youth and Patti Smith, their cool-o-meter is already off the scale. Beginning life as an unsigned act who met as models on a photoshoot, their popularity was initially spread via word of mouth throughout the hipster network of New York. Ooh, get them!
Combining elements of elegant indie with a slab of laid-back funk; juicy basslines and jangling guitars are the order of the day for The Virgins.
Their recent single 'Rich Girls' was featured in an episode of the achingly fashionable youth TV program Gossip Girl. Their
self-titled album is already on the shelves.
