The Rumble Strips

Introducing...

The Rumble Strips have had a bumpy ride so far in their career. The quartet are all from near Exeter in Devon but were not in a band together back home in Tavistock. Instead they met through mutual friends in London.

They almost didn't get very far at all with their lusciously romantic acoustic tunes because they were sharing their singer, guitarist and major songwriter Charlie Waller with another London band, Vincent Vincent and the Villains.

Waller was suffering from burnout and almost quit making music entirely, preferring to wander from pillar to post working as a decorator with his uncle. Luckily Transgressive Records took a punt on The Rumble Strips for one single only and they decided to take the opportunity with both hands.

They released the fabulous 'Motorcycle' and their career was on the up. After one more single on Transgressive, 'Hate Me You Do', they signed a deal with Fallout Records and are currently recording their debut album in America.
