The Fratellis do V 2007
With The Feeling not appearing at this year's V Festival, it's up to spritely Scots The Fratellis to make sure everyone's bouncing around in front of the Main Stage.
It may not be clever but it's definitely big and they are such an awesome festival band. The weather is still drizzly and everyones got their macks on for the days first real party band.
Jon Fratelli, with his massive mop of hair commands his band with ease. He soon gets nice and sweaty from all the jumping about which is mirrored by their fans in the moshpit.
Mixing indie tunes with a rocking performance The Fratellis are never goig to disappoint. Indeed the arena is absolutely jam packed full of drunken revellers giving their loved ones piggy backs under the grey skies. Its getting a bit muddy underfoot but nobody cares about slipping over.
'Chelsea Dagger' is an obvious highlight to end the set with. Played in sports arenas across the country (Celtic Park, Cardiff Arms Park and in the British Ice Hockey League as well!) there's not a single person that doesn't want to sing.
With Chelsea playing in the premiership this afternoon its apt that its being played today. The song has nothing to do with the football team though of course.
It's great that they played a session earlier today in the VIP tent backstage because you'll be able to see even more renditions of their fantastic singalong songs for yourself.
