Absolute Radio Presents Lenny Kravitz
Absolute Radio staged an exclusive intimate gig with four-time Grammy Award winning artist Lenny Kravitz in a fittingly rock'n'roll venue in heart of the red light district in London's Soho. It was the first time in three years that Lenny has taken to the stage for a solo headline performance and it took place on Monday 12 September for Absolute Radio, in front of a tiny, intimate audience of just two hundred people.

About the gig
Playing a variety of classics including 'Fly Away', 'American Woman' and 'Are You Gonna Go My Way', he also performed new tracks from his brand new album Black and White America - the highly anticipated ninth studio album. The record is driven by new single 'Stand' and follows eight previous albums and over 35 million units sold. Kravitz bought his unique style to the table for the latest
Absolute Radio Live gig. He has transcended genre, style, race and class into a 20 year musical career, one of which revels in the rich influences of '60s and '70s rock and funk.
Christian O’Connell announced the gig on
the breakfast show. He said "Lenny Kravitz is an incredible artist and the fans that are lucky enough to win tickets are in for a real treat. He oozes cool and with such an intimate audience the gig promises to be very special indeed."
Lenny Kravitz is the latest in a line of unique Absolute Radio Live gigs in unusual places, including;
Elbow in the Crypt at St Paul's Cathedral, the legendary
Elton John in the ethereal surroundings of the Union Chapel, the first ever rock gig in The Houses of Parliament with
Biffy Clyro, closing London’s infamous Regent Street for our first birthday with
Madness performing,
Newton Faulkner playing in a Hot Air Balloon high above the Alps, and
Texas at Tower Bridge - all of which were truly unmissable, money-can't-buy experiences for genuine music fans.
