Black Rebel Motorcycle Club biography

As of 2011, the band has started working on their 7th album, rumored to be out sometime in 2012. In between the recording sessions the band has performed a South American tour and played their first shows in South Africa, as part of the Synergy Festival in Cape Town and China, in Beijing and Shanghai.

The songs of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have been featured in several movies, TV series and video games. Some of the notable appearances are:

  • Done All Wrong is exclusive to The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.
  • Whatever Happened To My Rock and Roll and Love Burns were performed live for Michael Winterbottom's film 9 Songs.
  • Shuffle Your Feet was featured in the opening credits of the HBO show Generation Kill as well as in Season 4 of their other show, True Blood.
  • Sympathetic Noose was featured in the opening of the 2009 film Documentary Love The Beast about Eric Bana's Love for Cars, and racing.
  • As Sure As the Sun was featured in a first season episode of the FOX series 24.
  • Take My Time/Rifles was featured in the first episode of the second season of the E4 show Misfits.
  • Beat the Devil's Tattoo was featured in "Chuck Versus the Cubic Z" of the NBC show "Chuck"
  • Conscience Killer was featured in a Chevrolet commercial.
  • Spread Your Love was featured in a The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas luxury resort commercial, Ketel One Vodka ads, and the 2011 Motorola RAZR ads.
  • Ain't No Easy Way is featured in the 2006 film The Guardian, as well as the 2010 Spike TV Original Series "Coal".
  • Stop is featured in the 2008 Sons of Anarchy pilot episode
  • Fault Line is featured in the Bones episode The Bodies in the Book.
  • Weapon of Choice and Berlin was featured in Shaun White Snowboarding
  • Songs by BRMC appear on several video games, including NHL 11, NASCAR The Game: 2011, NBA 2K11, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Batman: Arkham City, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, and NASCAR 08.
  • The song "Beat the Devils Tattoo" was featured in the 2012 dark comedy God Bless America.
