10cc

10cc biography

  • January 2004: Godley and Gouldman reconvened to write more songs. Godley explained: "In a nutshell ... unfinished business. In all the years we've known each other we've only written three pure, Godley-Gouldman songs. That, and a desire to find out if the music muscle still worked with someone I enjoyed and didn't have to spend weeks getting to know." Godley and Gouldman's website offered six downloadable tracks, "The Same Road", "Johnny Hurts", "Beautifulloser.com", "Hooligan Crane", "Son of Man" and "Barry's Shoes", described as the first of a group of songs they had worked on for three years.
  • 2006: A 10cc compilation from Universal, Greatest Hits ... And More, attracted criticism both from fans who complained about one track, "Feel the Benefit", running at a slow speed and from Stewart, who was upset at not being told of its release.
  • 2008: Clever Clogs, a DVD of several recent performances by 10cc featuring Gouldman was released. The DVD also featured several tracks sung by Godley.
  • 2009: Stewart released his fourth solo album, Viva La Difference. In early 2009 Gouldman's 10cc began touring the UK and launched its official website, 10ccworld.com. Another 10cc compilation from Universal Music Group/UMTV , Very Best of 10cc, was released and reached No.39 in the album chart.
  • 2010: 10cc announced a 2011 tour of the UK, to run from 24 February to 10 April. In May 2011, the Jerusalem Post reported that 10cc (consisting a Gouldman and band of other musicians) would embark on a foreign tour in the summer of 2011 covering for the first time, Israel.
  • 2012: 10cc are playing the Rooty Hill RSL, Rooty Hill, Australia on 23 March and at "Music in the Gardens" at Sheffield Botanical Gardens in UK on 6 July.
