Work Experience

Want to do some work experience at Absolute Radio?

We're looking for people over 18 who are currently studying on a media related course. You'll come and work with our Station Assistants, usually for four weeks, but we recommend a minimum of two weeks. All work experience posts are unpaid.

You should be confident, reliable, self-motivated, and prepared to make the tea, sort the post, make the tea, send out prizes and make the tea on a daily basis in exchange for getting to do some really fun stuff like popping out to ask people in the street silly questions, and making the tea!

It's great for your CV, and we often ask the outstanding people to come back and help us out at various events during the year. We recommend that if you can, apply for a 4 week placement as there'll be more opportunities to experience more of our business and how we operate as a team.

We have hundreds of requests for the summer months, so if you're available at other times (when we're more busy, we have more bands in, less people are on holiday and everyone looks sexier) then do let us know.

All you have to do to apply is fill out the form below. You must attach your CV and state your DOB. They're important! If you don't, we won't be in touch.

I spent a good few days of my time on work experience stuffing envelopes for a big sales mailout, but I also got to see how all the different departments worked, meet the people who would become invaluable to my career later. If you can grit your teeth and smile through the less-glamorous stuff you really can get a lot out of your time here. Although don't worry about having to stuff envelopes for six whole days... I believe we have now finally entered the 21st century and do all mailouts via email.

Seeing as we have so many staff who were once upon a time work experience, we've made a whole page of their testimonials, click below and get reading!
