Kelly and Richard talk to Ben Jones backstage at the V Festival 2010. The pair reveal that there will be a big Stereophonics announcement very soon. During the interview, the band also reveal that they've spent a lot more time on the tourbus recently, learning great things about each other along the way. Rich has started shooting rabbits and Kelly's entered the 21st century by getting an iPhone! They talk about Stuart Cable and how he's always with them - It took the about 3 weeks for his death to hit home and fans have started to appear at gigs holding banners saying RIP Stuart.

Backstage video interview

Frontman, Kelly Jones chats to Ben Jones backstage at the Virgin Mobile V Festival whilst walking to the main stage where the band performed. They talked about 'Decade in the Sun', an upcoming greatest hits album and the tour.

Don't for a second think thought that Kelly Jones and his boys have come here to open up for Muse. Oh no, no, no, don't be foolish. 'We are the bartender and the thief' and off they go. Mix a bit of Motorhead's Ace of Spades for good measure, and you're laughing.

The light from the setting sun bathes the crowd in a spectacular sort of light, no fancy lightshow needed and this suddenly feels like a proper brilliant amazing festival topping any stadium you might have seen them in before. And then there is that spine-tingling roough and ready roar kelly jones blasts into our collective sears. Amazing.

Rock on with everything from Thousand Trees to Have a Nice Day and you get the guy on the phone behind us shouting 'You gotta see them live mate, they're awsome'. How right he is. For a small fellow, Kelly Jones surely knows how to yield that guitar and work the crowd into a frenzy with some good Welsh rock n roll. No holds barred. Muse better be ready to top this neat little rock show. Yeah baby.
