You may have heard a whistling song sung by a lady singing about the 'Young Folks'. Well that's a tune by Peter Bjorn and John featuring the dulcet tones of Victoria Bergsman in the chorus.

That's 'Young Folks' by the highly imaginitively titled band Peter Bjorn and John and you can read more about them and see the video to the song right here.

Featuring three members, Peter Morén (vocals, guitar, and harmonica), Björn Yttling (vocals, bass and keyboards) and John Eriksson (drums, percussion, and vocals), they formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1999 but this is their first big hit.

First released in 2006 it hit the Top 40 in the UK Singles Chart and was named by NME as the second best track of 2006, beaten only by Hot Chip's 'Over And Over'.

Peter and Bjorn met in high school and soon started playing music together as they all liked bands like The Stone Roses and Ride. John only joined the band when the other two moved to Stockholm. The rest is history.

'Young Folks' was the first single to be taken from their third album and has been used in several commercials. This year has seen an international re-release following extensive play on American dance radio.

Indeed, KanYe West rapped over the beat on his latest mixtape, Can't Tell Me Nothing and James Blunt covered it at a concert in San Francisco in September 2007 around its re-release.
